Biography: Luke completed his Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus in 2014. His research interests lie in the identification of new and bioactive natural products from Australian endemic flora, using chemotaxonomy as a plant selection tool. He is conducting his PhD with Professor Tony Carroll (Natural Product Chemistry) on the Gold Coast in conjunction with Professor Vicky Avery (Discovery Biology). His project will focus on the identification of new natural products from plants which show activity against P. falciparum, the protozoan parasite responsible for Malaria.
