Read more »Congratulations to PhD student Sandra Duffy, who has been awarded an ASTMH (American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene) 2019 Annual Meeting Travel Award to attend their Conference in Maryland, USA (near Washington) from 20-24th November. The award includes registration, flights, an $800 stipend (USD) and is supported in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The ASTMH Annual Meeting draws tropical medicine and global health professionals representing academia, government, non-profits, philanthropy, NGOs, industry, military and private practice.

Read more »Last week GRIDD was proud to host a Griffith Sciences IMPACT event – “New Drugs: Why the Wait?” Panel members were: A/Prof Rohan, Moana Simpson, Prof Vicky Avery, Prof Jonathan Baell and Emeritus Professor Maree Smith. Audience members included scientists from Griffith, UQ, QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, the Queensland Museum, the Queensland Government and the public and highlighted the importance of collaboration and networks during the drug discovery process.
